Here are some images captured from Chevy's introduction of the production Chevy SSR. This is the same preproduction car that appeared, in bright yellow, on the 2002 Detroit auto show floor (you can see photos here and here). The car was painted with a strippable topcoat of blue for the press introduction and they had to rush to peel the paint and get the car ready for public display. Though some proportions have changed from the concept car, the overall lines remain the same. The most noticeable changes from the concept car are moving the side mirrors to the base of the A pillar from the top of the pillar, where they were on the concept. They've also removed the accent bar that went across the rear of the concept car. This was a late change, I believe, because there are publicity shots at GM's web site of the pre-production car with the bar intact.
